If Heathkit were around today?
what would be in our mailbox? The Christmas wishbook, of course. The
tried and true, now 10 years old SB-20220 would be featured,
SB-20220 - All solid state Linear Amp, 1,500 watts output, no blower,
but a water pump for cooling. Computer tuned input. Build it with one
amplifier module for 750 watts output, add a second for full power.
(thriving aftermarket for "quad chassis" used by contesters and DXers).
SB-3X3 - Same height and width as the SB-303/313 but 6 inches thick.
Includes the classic Heath Direct Digital Synthesis Master Oscillator,
familiar BIG SB knobs, Heath Digital Filter Module. Full HF coverage,
multiple memories, USB interface for digital modes, Stereo CW with two 5
watt audio amps, designed to work with the:
SB-4X3 - Slave transmitter with a panel blank for Heath DDS
(optional). QSK, SSB, FM and USB for digital modes.
HW-1XX - 20 watt portable HF transceiver, also called the Ham-Spam
because it has the same profile and chassis color as a Hormel Spam can.
Heath 2 Meter Cell Fone - a 2 meter HT with a snap-in for a Nokia cell
fone. The big Heath lithium ion pack charges the cell fone. Control
circuitry mutes one or the other. One Bluetooth serves both.
