I don't have any experience with that particular transformer, but Peter is great to work with. He (they) built me two plate transformers, two swinging chokes, and two smoothing chokes for my Frankenmitter project, and they're absolutly primo. He charged me half of what Hammond wants for equivalent plate xfmrs, and Hammond doesn't even bother with the chokes I neeed.

Does anyone have any experience with the Peter Dahl replacement xfrms 
for the SB 220.  I am afraid that I smoked mine during the Sweepstakes 
contest this weekend.  If you have experience with them, do they 
increase the amplifier output power?  What about duty cycle?  I believe 
the high speed CW with its high duty cycle is what smoked my 
transformer. What is the benefit of using an outboard one verses an 
inboard on.  Any help?
