You would have the same results by doing some basic PM and replacing the
parasitic resistors every 10 years or so. Ive had several 200's (of the
roughly 300 Ive done) in here for 6M conversions that had the resistors in
the low KOhm range and still no arcing switch.
The grid circuit voodoo does nothing but decrease stage gain so you need
more drive for the same output. As long as grid current is kept within the
safe range there is no damage to the tubes; any extra power is simply added
to the output.
It often amazes me that so many havent a clue to how a GG amp works. And
then spend money on junk from someone else with the same lack of
understanding.
