[Heathkit] HX-1681 Transmitter problem

I need some help?  I have this transmitter working perfectly (OK, really
well) except for one small problem. In the receive mode, Q204 in the VFO
should have 0 volts on the emitter, which in theory would shut down the VFO
so there is no signal in the receiver. I am still getting .10 volts or so,
so during receive the VFO signal is audible in the receiver. I have changed
out Q204 and associated diodes with no luck. Is there anyone out there that
has solved this problem? I am trying to get my HR-1680/HX-1681 combo to work
full QSK, but as it is the VFO signal really messes things up. Any
suggestions?
