The resistors really aren't necessary or desired.   Today's silicon 
rectifiers are consistent enough that they don't need the 
"equalization", and what's worse, most 1 W resistors today are rated for 
500 VDC at best.  The capacitors won't hurt anything, but again be sure 
they are rated for at least the full 1000V PIV of the diodes.
