[Heathkit] Tried to check into the net today to add to the numbers

Hello Cam,

Now exactly which Net are you referring to? If it is the HCI, Hallicrafters
Collectors International Net, which is advertised on this list weekly, I do not
show your call sign.

HCI will accept all vintage rigs, brand name is not an exclusionary criteria. We
do ask that those checking in have an 'interest' in vintage gear, however.

Some check in using an all Hallicrafters station, some use a modern TX and a
vintage RX, such as I, some use all modern gear but collect vintage
Hallicrafters receivers, some are looking for a rig to purchase etc. Most who
like the vintage gear have a "dog from many counties"! ("dog" in this case not
meaning it is a real dog, as in a car that when you press the horn ring goes
"WOOF!", but "dog" meaning that said Ham owns many pieces of equipment made by
numerous manufacturers.

So OM, are you speaking of the HCI Net, the Vintage SSB Net or the Heathkit Net
out of CA? The second and third Nets are not advertised on this list.

So Cam, what's up?

Hi all, Sorry I didn't get through, when my turn came up the current
limiting resistor in the power supply smoked. I jumped straight into my
troubleshooting mode....TV engineer in me.
Best to all and perhaps next week I'll check in and say hello on one of the
other rigs if I haven't fixed this one yet....I need to run current through
all of them anyway.

Cam Hedrick
