There are many of them on the air. A lot of guys in different locations have
regular six meter AM Nets. Most run horizontal, but some also vertical.
they did not bother repeaters, as there weren't many, if any, when the Twoer and
Sixer were sold in 1960-1971.
Because of the RF amp, the super regen circuit causes few problems, according to
those I have spoken with who still use them today. Some noise floor increase
within a quarter mile area, but nothing beyond a half mile.

Are there any "Benton Harbor Lunch Boxes" still on the air? Maybe 'way
out in the boonies where there are no repeaters, someone is using them
for a local intercom net.
I never owned or used one, but when I was a teenager getting my start in
amateur radio I thought they were a neat idea, and people had a lot of
fun with them.
