Paint manufacturers put additives and adjust the formulary in oil base paint
to minimize wrinkling.
Maybe if you made your own paint with linseed, pigment etc, you could get it
to wrinkle?
Some additives I remember to enhance wrinkle are Japan dryer and tung oil.
I read the wrinkle is caused by the cure time delta between the top and
bottom surface of the paint film.
That's all I remember reading a few years back in an old paint tech book at
an industrial library.
