[Heathkit] SB cabinet repaint question?

I have used the Stone Creations on large cabinets and
there is no streaking if done correctly. However, I
"paint" the crackle using short "bursts" from the
spray can and then move to another area and then
"burst" again. If you move the can while still
dispensing paint you definitely will get streaks.
Also, the material will be elongated towards the
direction of movement instead of a "random" pattern.
I definitely wish that I could find a paint that will
wrinkle correctly that I can use with my spray rig.
Not only would it be cheaper and easier to apply, but
the finish would be more "even" without extreme care
in the application.
One thing that some people have done to get a better
wrinkle out of spray cans is to paint directly on the
bare metal. That is, they do not "prime" the surface
first. However, if you do not "prime" the surface the
paint usually does not adhere any where near as well.
Thus, there is a definite "trade off".
