Duane,
I had  (and still have) a Six'er.
Six'er used a 8Mhz. oscillator.  The Two'er also used 8Mhz. crystals.  They
had to be purchased separately

The mod "everyone" did was bring the crystal socket out to the front panel.
You could also add a VFO.  The .
I don't remember many others.  Some guys added PTT for mobile, but it was
not really worth it.
