Guys, now here is a Ham who is both a gentleman and one you can take what he
says as being accurate. A Heathkit Twoer I purchased from him in early December
finally arrived here tonight. No fault of his, however!
A temporary postal delivery person had left it at a new neighbor's house just
before christmas. They are not from the USA and speak little English. A
neighborhood youngster i asked checked with all my neighbors to see if perhaps
my package had been left ther intentionally or accidentally. She found it and
brought it to me. Yea!
The HW-30 that Saad described on a different list is exactly as he represented
it. He is one of the good guys, so if you are thinking of purchasing what he is
offering for a time piece, you can depend on him.
Now just to make my day even better:
Tonight an elderly Ham who shows up on two meters about every three months to
visit with a Monday through Friday group of elderly Hams, happened to have a
Heathkit Sixer right beside him. he also had the manual. he told me everything
that I needed to know in a few minutes.
The power cord somebody had sent me several years ago turned out to be for
mobile operation. I did not know the base one had an AC plug on it and was ready
to be plugged into the wall and used.
Now I am off to see if there is any life left on two meters in the AM portion.
Thanks to all for the assistance.
