FW: [Heathkit] Heathkit question

Now wait just a minute!

That is MY page that you are talking about! And it is NOT a list of phantom
Heathkits that are stashed away in someone's barn, it is a list of kits that
have sold at various places (mostly eBay) over the past year and past 90
days. That's why it's call the "Bluebook".

Anyone who can READ, can read the headings and figure it out.

If you got to this page from my main Heathkit page, it would be a little
more clear.

Here is the link to my main Heathkit page:

As for the phantom kits. I personally know a couple of scrap buyers that
purchased some of what was left at the time. Most of the desirable kits
stayed with Heath when they spun off the educational line and went private.
Anything else that was left were items such as the Water monitor which is a
small plastic kit that tells you when your plant needs watering. As I
understood it, there were also some option kits that were left over when all
of the original "base" kits were sold. Whatever it was that was left (and
not taken by the new educational company) are probably not worth the effort
to look for them.

Many of the "unbuilt" kits you see on eBay are from educational groups (NRI,
DeVry, etc) that still had (may still have) some unbuilt kits in the school
inventory.

Now I'm off to continue my search for the Holy Grail.....

Thanks

Don

All,

In regards to this rumor of a person who is stock piling Heathkits in a
warehouse in Toledo, Ohio. This is a database of Heathkit inventory
(kits and parts) that is rumored to exist. It is about 31 pages of
Heathkit inventory.
I do not know how much is true, but here is the URL. Take a look

Rich,

I'd heard a rumor, and it's just that, an individual bought all their
stock and is holding it "warehoused" as an investment. I also heard
that he'd been approached more than once but wanted such outrageous
prices for anything that it was ridiculous. Again, I don't know the
truth in it.
