But it is not really an apples-to-apples comparison... Building a replacement 
or modification hetrodyne crystal for the SX-117 is nearly a one-off project. 
 Or at least would not have been nearly as common a task for a crystal 
manufacturer as filling orders for the thousands of crystal controlled VHF/UHF 
transceivers.
