[Heathkit] DX 60

I just bought a non working  DX 60 with HG 10B VFO. On removing the covers, 
I discovered a
filament transformer stuck on the bottom side with double sided sticky tape. 
I'm waiting on a reprint manual but from the schematic on BAMA I don't see 
anything like this. The 6.3v winding on the power transformer seems to be 
fine and I'm puzzled. Any idea why this would be in here? I'm replacing the 
filter caps and waiting on new tubes. Found a few cold solder joints. So far 
the tubes light up but that's about it. No grid current etc. Thanks.
