[Heathkit] End Day VF-1/DX-40 and "Frequency"

The guy that was on the BBC production "End Day"
didn't look like Michael Casper.  It was sometimes
difficult to tell in the "documentary" what was real
and what was part of the plot, because sometimes the
"experts" were on TV within a TV, if that makes any
sense.  The only thing for sure was the good ol'
Heathkit rigs way down at the end of his very modest
office.

Many of us may recall the movie "Frequency", where Jim
Caviezel's character was holding a QSO with his dead
father from about 20 years in the past.  What was
truly remarkable was the fact the he was using a
Heathkit 300-series receiver to transmit.
