Hearsay testimony suggests that veterinary grade mineral oil from your
local farm supply store does a nice job.
Ran 600+ watts into a cantenna filled with the stuff at a friend's QTH,
and it didn't smoke.
There was a construction article in "the handbook" some years back
where the author suggested Texaco Regal R&O turbine oil as an
acceptable substitute for that nasty transformer oil. I don't recall
which viscosity he used, but I could probably dig it up.
