[Heathkit] Nobody Has Answers?

Well,
I will give it a shot, my memory isn't what it once was, Several
questions
first however. Do you have a manual for the HW-202, because I can't
remember
where the deviation control is located. Find the deviation pot and set
it
to center of travel and try the rig again. If you get audio then, you
want
a distant station to talk you to the proper setting for the deviation.

Careful when going through some repeaters as if it is set too wide the
repeater will start to chop, and you could cause interference to others
as
well. The microphone if it is working feed to a small audio amp and then
to a varicap diode and the pot set the amount of deviation by setting
the
voltage to the varicap.
