[Heathkit] unassembled sb-221

Now how can anyone pay thousands for something that is in a sealed box, knowing
he can never open that box without lighting a match to ten or fifteen hundred
dollar bills by doing so? How do you really know what is in that box? It might
be full of tightly packed old rocks or a couple of cylinder heads off the model
A Ford! Pay thousands of dollars to stare at the outside of an old box? Wow! Now
that is some kind of temptation. I don't know about you, but sooner or later, I
would have to take a peek inside!

There was one that was auctioned on eBay a while back. It went way up 
into the thousands. UNbuilt. People will sometimes spend a lot of 
money for a blast of nostalgia, like a 21st century building of a 
major Heathkit from the box.

Part of me WAS tempted, but not tempted enough.

And a used SB-2xx linear is still among the best bang/buck for a 
starting out ham.
