To Whom It May Concern,
I was going to purchase this device. Before I did, however, I asked Greg what
form the data was in. Such as ASCII or? Because it uses a serial port, COM#1 in
this case, it interfaces to a computer via said port. Depending on the type of
data being transmitted, it may, or may not, be useable by my screen reading
software.
If it is in a DOS, or ASCII, format, and I suspect it may be based on age, it is
useable.
Greg was not able to answer my question. The device has been sold to one of you.
Whomever is the buyer, I would very much like to know the answer from you to my
question.
I am NOT angry with Greg or any such thing. He has a right to sell it to
whomever he so wishes. I have no problem with him or with his decision. I simply
would like to know about the data stream involved with this product. If the
buyer would be so kind as to contact me off list, it would be very much
appreciated.
Sometimes these older products can be easily adapted, or the screen reading
software configured or modified, to permit voice output. That was my goal.
Thank you.
