[Heathkit] Heathkit SB-610 scope

I just got a SB-610 and I am having some problems, or maybe NOT.  But I 
cannot find in the manual and explanation or trouble shooting for these 
problems.

1st, both the compactrons check bad, but they seem to be 
working...maybe.  The PO of this scope has also found that the two 
compactrons in HIS scope also test bad but that the scope works.  I have 
a B&K 747 and he has a Sencore, but both give the same BAD reading on 
two different sets of compactrons.  Can anyone shed ANY light on this???

2nd, the focus is good on the leading end of the trace but deteriorates 
badly at the trailing edge.  Any suggestions??
