[Heathkit] SB-401 Question Solution???

Did the Ham with the SB-401 problem of fluctuation of output get his problem 
resolved?
I have been having the same problem and have come to conclude it is the relay.
If I tap lightly around the relay area with a pencil the power comes up.
I can also get the power up if I key the mike on and off a few times.
Also, if I flip to tune mode two or three times.
Found that if I bend the bulkhead the relay sits on I can make the problem 
better or worse.
Hope this helps and you have more luck than I had with the fix.
If you find the fix let me know.
Has anyone had the same problem and how did you fix it?
I have cleaned the relay contacts and checked for bad connections and bad 
grounds.
