[Heathkit] Apache EL34s

Has anyone found a good brand of mod tubes for the apache (EL34/6CA7)?   =
I bought a matched pair of electro-harmonix (made in Russia) and one of =
them shorted out within 2 hours of use.   I assume it was high voltage =
breakdown (plate to grid).   I like using the Mullards but you could buy =
another Apache for what the Mullards go for, that's why I'm trying the =
imports (good low cost replacement).  =20
