My "plain" HP-23 has a circuit breaker from the
factory.  May be a "towards the end" of the run
version.

Also, considering the fact that the bias can be
adjusted on both the HP-23 and HP-23A and the fact
that both put out both 6.3 and 12.6 VAC for
filaments/heaters, they are more "useful" to use with
other types of equipment.
