Hi Dave,

Hook the patch to the phone line as usual.  Take the mic output from the 
patch to the hi impedance input of your tape recorder.  It should work as long as 
the mike out impedance of the patch  is equivilent to the mic input to the 
recorder.  If not, you will need a matching transformer.
