Hi Gang!!
It's time to pay more doctor bills. So I'm selling my SA-2060
tuner. Here's the description of
the rig. The front panel is very nice and so are the knobs. All original
except for the roller inductor knob
which I changed to a large Raytheon Style crank knob. It's lots easier to
use the roller with the crank knob
than Heath's round knob. I do have the original knob and it will go with
it. I changed out one insulator for the
long wire antenna in the rear because it was broken. So the replacement
came from SSN and it's a bit longer
but quite usable. This tuner also has a balun installed. It's not a Heath
original but it is a toroid core from
SSN and I wound it with #10 gauge teflon wire and it's mounted where the
original would go. It's mounted with
a plastic insulator standoff and so it's more than equivalent. The original
cover for the insulators was missing when I got
this so I have a set of hex standoffs that I mounted on the back and a
clear plastic cover that goes over the three
insulators to keep you from getting burnt from the RF off of the terminals
and it gets screwed to the standoffs.
The cover was repainted with gloss black because the paint was in rather
bad shape.
It looks pretty good, but you could get Hartzell MFG (they did the Drake
cabs) to repaint it for $25 and it would be original.
I have a copy of the SA-2060A manual that goes with it. I will sell it for
$285 and that price includes the shipping to anywhere in the
lower 48 states. If I don't get any takers on this it will go to that
infamous auction place in cyberspace. Ya got till Saturday
