A while back I made a post while awaiting a new SA-2060A tuner I had
purchased lamenting that the "Bypass" setting wasn't what I expected... that
the tuner would essentially be in-line always with the antenna. I received
lots of great advice and email regarding the tuner and ways to modify it for
actual tuner bypass operation ranging from a simple "T" connector on the
rear to circuit/switch changes.

What was common in all the mails was that the tunder was the best one those
replying had ever used...

I've had the tuner on line a month now. And I couldn't agree more.... what
a GREAT tuner. I've owned plenty of high end modern tuners including
auto-tuners. I have turned off the auto-tuner in my Ten-Tec Jupiter and
exclusively use the SA-2060A now. It is with no doubt the most repeatable
tuner I have ever used.... I logged the middle of the CW and SSB portions of
the bands and found that by returning to these settings I have perfect SWR
each time. The few seconds it takes to twist the knobs to the proper
position when changing bands is not an issue at all... so I decided to leave
the tuner in line at all times. And.... the tuner takes legal limit power
when necessary with no problems whatever.

Thanks to everyone that encouraged me regarding this tuner... it's now a
permanent part of my station and I can't see ever selling it. It has to
rate as a best buy in legal limit type tuners !
