Neither!

The SB-110 and SB-110A are SSB and CW only. They
cover 50 to 52 MHz in four 500 KHz band ranges.

They put out around 80 watts, sometimes a little more
when the 6146 tubes are new. The receiver has a
Nuvistor (tube) front-end and has a guaranteed
specification of 0.1 microvolts for 6 dB signal +
noise to noise ratio. The minimum detectible signal
on my SB-110A is less than 0.02 microvolts!

Heathkit made the HW-10 Shawnee which was a 6 meter AM
transceiver (the HW-20 Pawnee was the 2 meter
equivalent) which had a VFO and were generally like
the Gonset Communicator IV VHF equipment, the HW-29
and HW-29A "Sixer" which were 6 meter AM transceivers
with a super-regenerative receiver, and the VHF-1
Seneca which was a 6 and 2 meter CW and AM
transmitter.

What was the output on the SB-110 and SB-110a? Was it
AM, FM or both?
