[Heathkit] sb-310

I have only worked on a couple of SB-310 receivers
lately, but I did not find that to be true. Now, one
of the bands has to be aligned with the preselector
knob all the way counter-clockwise (this is pointed
out in the instruction manual). At first I didn't do
this (had the alignment close to, but not at, the
extreme end) and the receiver "took off" when the
preselector was "peaked" on that band. I don't
remember exactly which band, but I think it was the 31
meter band. But, when it was aligned at the extreme
position the receiver worked fine.

I have several service monitors that I use when
aligning receivers so I get a pretty good idea as to
what the true sensitivity of the receiver is.

After extensive testing of 2 SB-310's it is absolutely
true that 31 meters and 25 meters are less sensitive
than the other bands on these models.
