[Heathkit] HX-10 problem

Working on restoring a HX-10 Maurauder I picked up some time ago in"fully operational " order. Needless to say, after flaming the 5R4, replacing the HV and LV electrolytics, it worked briefly, but tnen the carrier oscillator and one of the sideband oscillators but out. Voltages seem ok, tubes ok, and tried spare crystals from a parts unit all with no success. Anybody have ideas about common failure modes on these units?
