The SB220 "series" works fine on 17/12M if you run it in the CW position and
limit output to around 600W. The choke isnt the problem but the tank Q can
cause band switch arcing when pushed.

Conversion to 10M is normally a hassle requiring  new bandswitch wafers as
well as changes to the input network. I have complete assemblies as removed
from SB-220's that have been converted to 6M. Makes the conversion almost
easy as it is virtually a drop in swap.
