I asked this same question myself a while back re: an unbuilt Heathkit
cap tester. My decision: money comes and goes. Collectors already
have lots to collect. Cost of the kit, $45 at auction; building it
with my 15-year old boy, priceless. It's spread out over the kitchnen
table even as I type this. Maybe I had the last unbuilt IT28 in the
universe; so what? My boy will remember this for the rest of his life,
and I'll have a 'new' cap checker to use while rebuilding the R390A...

A local ham just picked up an unbuilt 'most accurate clock' at an
auction. He's going to build it because he always wanted one as a kid
but couldn't afford it. I'm happy for him.

I have been told that I should sell the empty box and packing on eBay,
though...

Enjoy.
