[Heathkit] HW-8 question?

I recently picked up an unmodified (as near as I can tell) HW-8. Generally
speaking, how much power output can be expected on the various bands into a
50 ohm dummy? I get about a half watt on 80 and 40, 2 watts on 20, and
about one-and-a-half on 15. Is that in the ball park? I am using my
MFJ-949C for a watt-meter, which I suppose isn't all that great.

One thing I noticed was that the trimmer caps for aligning transmit (C95,
C99, C103, and C106- right behind the band slide-switches) were tightened to
the max on 80 and 15, pretty well backed off all the way on 40, and only on
20 was the peak within the range of the trimmer's adjustment. Is that a
normal characteristic?
I was following the manual, alternating between the "loading" control, and
the trimmers for each band.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tnx es vy 73,
