O.k. I know...probably nothing to jump up and down at.
But today, while cleaning out my deceased dad's storage outdoor storage cabinet, I found (sans cabinet) a DX-35 chassis with everything on it. It was one of my long ago project "rejects" because the front panel had two holes drilled the front (about 1/8" or less) but other than that, it looks like it could be brought back to life.
Unfortunately, a largue accumulation fo mouse droppings found it's way on the back of the front panel. A light surface coating of rust is now on the front panel rear. But there is nothing that can't be fixed by cleaning it up and using modern day enamels.
I'm looking forward to rebuilding that '35 once the AT-1 is done. Cal, N6KYR.
