Hi Kenneth,

There's a partial manual for the V-7A on BAMA (thanks to Ken Grimm) at
http://bama.sbc.edu/heath.htm
and a schematic at
http://www.tom80.freeserve.co.uk/diagrams/
The "U" suffix merely means that it has a 115/230V primary.

And since you seem to also be asking about the V-6, both using this 
email address and "ah7i@atl.org", the manual for the V-6 is also on BAMA.

One request to the list, from one address, would normally be sufficient. 
  And most would prefer to respond to a name.
