[Heathkit] (no subject)

Hello to Everyone;
I'm new to this group. Looks like fun! My father bought our Heathkit AR-15 home stereo in 1970. He still has it and it sounds great, although I think it needs a little work. This unit was assembled by Heath, not my father. He lives in Bergen County New Jersey. Can anyone tell me where to send this puppy for a tune up repair? Also, was the AR-1500 a better unit than the Ar-15? I have a vintage Sansui receiver but I feel it doesn't match my father's AR-15. I was 17 years old and a musician when he bought the receiver in 1970 and I grew up listening to all my music on that system with it's Altec 416's and 811's for speakers. I still compare everything I hear to that system as a reference. I'm thinking of buying a receiver on e-bay and I'm wondering which way to go i.e.AR-15, AR-1500 or maybe  Heathkit tube amps. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
