[Heathkit] Off topic "stealth" antennas

I have had good results with the Isotron antennas. I have 5 of them set up
in my second floor condo. I have the 80m and 40m on one tripod mount and
the 20m, 15m, and 10m on another. I set them up with my MFJ-259B analyzer
and have nothing over 1.8 to one on any of them. On 20m I have 1.1 to 1
swr. After initial adjustments I ran the 259 through my MFJ-949C and noted
the settings which gave the lowest swr for each band. For 20m it's coax #
1 and the settings are 6B 3.5 which gives me 1.1 to 1.
I first used them indoors with good results, worked Alaska, Europe, and
South America. Later I moved them out on the balcony and hung some bird
feeders on them in case someone asked what they were. No one ever did. By
good results I mean I didn't break any pileups but I did make QSO's. I had
looked into screwdriver antennas and other mobile type antennas but they
all required a good ground plane where the Isotron is a balanced antenna
which will work anywhere without one.
Now that I'm moving to Arkansas and will have 29 acres with no covenants or
restrictions I will be putting up a -big- horizontal loop for 160m and
80m. Best of luck, hope you find a good solution to your problem. My best
solution was to move. 8^)
