Let me give you a little free advice OM:

The ARRL is very trigger happy with litigation when somebody reprints any of
their material without getting their prior written consent. They do not care if
it is sixty years old or six months old. I know, as I inquired about reprinting
some information on transformers from the early fifties. The list of criteria I
had to meet, first being either the original author or an ARRL approved group or
organization, I decided against it.

While what you are doing may 'appear' innocent enough to you, the ARRL does not
see it that way at all. You may copy for your own personal use, but NOT for
distribution in any way, shape or form whatsoever without their permission.

I am NOT picking on you, but I thought you better be aware of the legal mess you
could end up in because of copying and distributing their material without prior
consent. And yes, this includes posting it on a web site -

as i [slowly] go thru the mess in my garage, warehouse & storage unit,
i am going thru various magazines and books and scanning what i feel
might be interesting to listmembers; this short article from the Hints
& Kinks section of the June 1996 edition of QST has a photo and sche-
matic and short text on a stepstart for the SB-1000 linear - this is
NOT a factory mod, but one from W3IRZ.
if you would like the scan (.jpg, 694kb) email and the scan will be
forwarded in the next email from me; i scan at full resolution for
maximum detail, modify on your end; using NAV w/ upgrades every week,
scan on your end.
tnx,
barry
