Actually, there are quite a few for sale regularly. I'll take a chance 
and mention the bay here. I check it regularly for HW-101s and SB- 
gear hoping to find a really cheap one at the same time I have 
money to spend (which concurrence doesn't happen very often).

There are almost always at least one of each HW-100/101 and SB-
100/101/102 for sale there every week. Also, SB-300/301/303/313 
and SB-400/401, either singly or in sets. SB-300/301 2 and 6 meter 
converters show up there regularly also. Power supplies, both AC 
and DC and SB-600 speaker/cabinets and other accessories.

I have also been watching for junkers or parts versions of the 
above and VERY SELDOM see any. All I ever see are working 
ones.

E-ham also has ads for Heathkit transceivers for sale.

They just seem to keep going and going and going...

Perhaps you have been looking in the wrong places?
