I did this years ago (think 'late 70's') to my HW-101, without the
benefit of SB102 docs.  I noticed that the wheels the O-rings ride on
sure *looked* like they were designed for dial cord.  I went down to my
local supply store and bought a spool of GC dial cord, found some
springs that looked about right in the junque box, and just did it
based on how I had seen dial cord strung in other radios.  It was a
real pain in the *** to get it done, but the results were well worth
it.  Everything that Mike says above about the results, I agree
completely.
