I have a power transformer from an SB-220/221 that is surplus to my
needs. I got it originally to use in the construction of a homebrew
linear but it just isn't quite what I need. I have measured the
secondary resistance at 12.4 ohms and the RMS voltage at 996V this wont
cut it with a 4-1000A

What I need is a transformer with about 1500 to 2000 RMS secondary and
about an amp out.

The 4-1000A just wont run on the 2500V that the Heathkit transformer is
capable of in a doubler circuit. I need a minimum of 3Kv and I would
like to get 4.5Kv If anyone needs this transformer and has something I
could use to trade, let me hear from you.
