[Heathkit] HW-101 revival

I though you folks in this group might appreciate this. My old HW-101 has
been in storage since 1984, but it's too near and dear to my heart to ever
get rid of it. On a whim, I set it up last night and wired an adapter for my
Kenwood MC-60 desk mike - I'd never used the '101 much on SSB and didn't
have a mic. Unfortunately, 20 meters was kaput by the time I got everything
unpacked and set up by 1:30 in the morning, but I'm sure looking forward to
giving it a spin this evening. Wow, what a boatanchor sitting next to my
IC-706! But the smell of the hot tubes and that unique "Heathkit" smell is
still there, and takes me back all those years ago when building your own
Heathkit was the most fun a kid could ever have.

Anyway, sorry if this doesn't seem to have much of a point. I'm just so
pleased that my sweetheart is still operational.
