[Heathkit] GC-1000 decrease rx sensitivity

For what it is worth, modern day WWVB clocks receive the time signal at VLF
60 kHz. I am not sure, but I believe the GC-1000 receives the HF signal
instead.

Subject: [Heathkit] GC-1000 decrease rx sensitivity

Greetings listers,
Have noted that my "most accurate
clock" seems to be lacking sensitivity and sometimes
takes days to synch-up, where it used to do it in a
couple of hours. Nothing has changed and it is still
on the inside antenna as it has been for years.
Before I tear into it and check all the obvious
things, thought I would run it up the flagpole and see
if anyone's had a similar problem and what they found.
I also have 2 other time sources on inside antennas
and they are A-1, so I must discount a WWV signal
problem.

Thanks in advance,
                  Cliff
