Hi Guys,
>I got this from QRP-L. If it has already been posted, I apologize but I
>know that are a lot of folks with HW-8s that would like to replace their
>tuning caps.
>Suddenly, like a bolt out of the blue, I got e-mail yesterday from Larry
>Baker, WB5OFD, telling me that he tracked down the company that made
>them--still in business--and found that they can still supply the capacitor.
>He said he's looking at a lot of overtime coming up at work so I offered to
>post the info for him. He really went beyond the call of duty in tracking
>down the company, and HW-8 owners will be grateful for years to come :-)
I saw this and since I'm working a KWM-2A I happen to notice the
loading and tuning caps for the 2A and
I'm sure the rest of the S-Line transmitters-------Guess what---------SAME
THING!!
I've got a unit I've been looking for a cap for a long time------FOUND
IT! Guess what else.
I believe that the Jackson drives that the Heath Co. used are alos made by
the same co. I have several new ones
and they look the same. I should be able to rescue a GE E-155 Console that
needs a replacement reduction
drive with their parts. Larry, I'd kiss ya but your the wrong SEX!!
Thanks!!
