Hello John,
You assumption is correct. The wires comprise the neutralizing scheme for
the 6 meter and the 2 meter sections.
the switch is ganged to the band change and switches the proper neutralizing
leads in when rotated. Check that they
actually seat properly when the BAND is changed from one
to the other. I don't have a manual, and there doesn't seem
to be one on the "Bama" site. Sorry! The rigs work fine if
they are not too beat up! Output is around 75 watts on both
bands. AM work ok but cw is the best, might want to consider a plate
modulator if going for the AM mode.
