Vince, first thing I think of  is static so use a lens cleaner that
says anti-static. Then I would suspect a particle of  metal caught in
the magnet. This is a toughy so be very careful and use a strip of
paper to slide between the movement and the magnet on both sides.
Also, look at the needle and make sure it does not touch the face.

Subject: [Heathkit] SB-200 Sticking Meter Pointer

I have not used my SB-200 in awhile and now the meter pointer
sticks.=20
It will not read properly unless I tap on the meter. If I change =
functions
using the meter switch it sticks in the previous position. I have
tried
to free it up with the meter adjustment screw but no luck!  Any ideas
or suggestions on how to cure a sticking meter movement would be
appreciated.
