There is NOT a "jobber" replacement cord for the 3 wires cable. I've
found some old cables at office machine repair centers that used to work
on the older Victor and Frieden adding machines. Those cables work just
fine. Another alternative (to eliminate damage to the receiver) is to
remove the chassis connector and its associated wiring. Take a small
piece of flat aluminum stock, drill a hole and insert a AC cord with one
of the black plastic restrainer fixtures (not sure what the proper name
is). Mount this piece using the same holes used for the socket.
Connect the wires under the chassis to the proper places. Save the old
socket for re-installation when a proper cable shows up. Not original
BUT usable and NO extra holes. Yes, I'm a purist and proud of it!!!!!!
