[Heathkit] HW-101 HW-100 VFO DRIVE

Hello, I have a HW-100 that I am re-doing and was thinking about takeing the 
VFO and the jackson drive unit from the HW-101 parts rig I have and 
installing it in the HW-100. I see the front pannal has to have some re-work 
done on the hole  to mount the jackson drive to the vfo. Has anyone else done 
this?  The VFO from the HW-100 the tunning dial does not work right it slips 
and is wore out. The VFO in a HW-101 was a better VFO also. I believe anyway. 
Any ideas other than find a different dial assembly for a HW-100. Terry w9cau
