Yes, I know what you mean. There's a certain romantic mystique about the
old Heath gear. I still have many Heathkits: The V7A VTVM my dad built
in 1956, My first shortwave receiver (GR-91), novice transmitter
(DX-60A), and of course, the biggest selling HF rig of all time: the
HW-100.
What is a GW-14A? Is that a CB set? Speaking of CB, I stumbled across an
on line CB museum in Germany which has pictures of many of the Heath CB
