Yes, and much cheaper. I built mine with nothing but stuff out of my
junkbox. If you don't have the transformer, buy it from Fair. Still
cheaper.

Wouldnt using a filament xfmr with a 11 Amp secondary do the same when
wired in series bucking?
Ive used them in series aiding on long T2x runs for decades.
