[Heathkit] HWA-9 Accessory Band Pack

yesterday i picked up an unbuilt heathkit:
docs say HWA-9 Accessory Band Pack: expands HW-9 to eight frequencies.
now, the box is the correct box (original heath shipping box); but it is
a fairly larger box, w/ a place that appears unused - rectangular, looks
like a circuit board may have fit there.  yet the docs only call for a
bag of parts, which are assembled to the existing HW-9 boards.  possibly
the box was also used for some other kit?  anyone familiar w/ this unit?
have to double check the parts list against the bag of parts; docs in-
clude a 12 page instruction sheet, an illustration booklet of 3 11" x
17" (double-sided) pages.
will be entertaining offers once the list is doublechecked; if you need
docs let me know.  this is a 1984 era kit.
